Already??!!??

Hello Folks!
Long time no talk!  Lots of happenings in the Broadus household since I last posted on this blog space.  I have been concentrating on completing my classes, of which my last course of 2010 will end tomorrow. Woohoo! I've also been focusing on the next steps I want to take as far as work and thinking about what I want out of the New Year. I am set to complete my Bachelor of Science (Psychology) in December 2011.  The courses have been amazing and very, very eye opening.  There are a lot of situations in the past where I could have applied my learnings and had a better outcome.  These are well noted for future use.

As of yet, I still haven't had a moment of regret in leaving my job.  In fact, I've had time to really focus on what I want out of my next employer.  First and foremost, is a high sense of respect for people and humanity.  We must be aware of how we look at, talk to, and speak to and about others.  Anything less makes for a toxic environment which leads to unproductive people. We need to learn how to give back and help others.  It's difficult to dwell on your problems when you see others in need of serious help. If you have been blessed to make it out, go back and help somebody else get out of where you came from.  Do not underestimate how powerful this can be.

Christmas shopping.....ho-hum.  I have purchased one gift so far!  I just haven't felt like getting out in the crowds looking for deals plus, I need to wait until a few days before Christmas to get the bulk of my Christmas shopping funds!  It's bonus time ya'll!!  Thank God that my children have not asked for anything highly pricey this year.  When asked what they want for Christmas, my youngest daughters response: "I don't know what to ask for, I've got mostly everything I want." This makes my heart happy.  I thought my lack of income would have a larger impact on my kids than it has.  This is nothing short of a blessing from God.  Happy early Christmas to me!

I leave you with the question:  What do you want out of the New Year?  Happy Christmas everyone!
